We own a high-speed camera and a thermal camera that can be used to observe phenomena imperceptible to the human eye.

High-Speed Camera

High-speed imaging can help us understand certain phenomena. Optech owns a Fastcam SA 1.1 high-speed camera that can record up to 675,000 striking images per second, well beyond the capabilities of the human eye. Visualization possibilities include material expelled from parts during laser or CNC machining. It can also be used for PIV (particle image velocimetry).

Thermal camera

Thermal imaging is used to quantify the temperature distribution on an image. Optech incorporates its thermal camera (Fluke Ti55FT) into a variety of projects. It is used to evaluate the performance of thermal diffusers, locate hot spots on printed circuit boards (PCB), characterize certain materials and calculate the temperature that an LED can reach while in operation.
